Samvatsara and month calculations are approximate

Our Samvatsara-cycle position is calculated as a solar-year approximation anchored to Vikram Samvat, without applying the rare Samvatsara-expunction adjustment used in classical Siddhanta astronomy (roughly once every 85 years). The "current month" shown is a Gregorian approximation of the corresponding Sanskrit lunar month, not a precise Tithi-based Panchanga calculation. Both can differ by a short margin from a detailed regional Panchang.
