Vikram Samvat is the traditional Hindu calendar era, with its epoch at 57 BCE — meaning the Vikram Samvat year runs roughly 56–57 years ahead of the Gregorian year. It's the official calendar of Nepal and remains widely used religiously and civilly across North India.
