Tamil Calendar தமிழ் காலண்டர்

Worth knowing
Because it's solar, Tamil month start dates are far more stable year-to-year than lunisolar calendars — Puthandu falls on April 13 or 14 almost every year, much like a fixed-date festival.
This is one of several living regional calendar traditions across India, all ultimately related to the same Panchang principles. See the Hindu Calendar overview for how they connect, or The Sanskrit Calendar for the pan-Indian Panchang system this site covers in depth.
